Violencia de género en el sistema de salud pública: el caso de las practicantes y pasantes de servicio social en enfermería en el Hospital Dr. Gilberto Gómez Maza en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas

Abstract

Este estudio analiza la violencia institucional y simbólica, así como las tecnologías de género, en la experiencia de practicantes y pasantes de enfermería en el Hospital Dr. Gilberto Gómez Maza, en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. La elección de esta institución responde a su relevancia dentro del sistema de salud pública estatal y a su carácter de hospital de referencia, lo que concentra a un número significativo de estudiantes en formación clínica. A partir de testimonios de las participantes, la investigación examina cómo se configuran y reproducen relaciones de poder atravesadas por el género en el entorno hospitalario. Asimismo, explora las estrategias y formas de agencia social que las practicantes y pasantes desarrollan frente a dichas dinámicas, evidenciando los mecanismos mediante los cuales se sostienen y, en algunos casos, se resisten estas formas de violencia. This study analyzes institutional and symbolic violence, as well as gender technologies, in the experiences of nursing interns and social service trainees at Hospital Dr. Gilberto Gómez Maza in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. The selection of this institution is based on its relevance within the state public health system and its status as a referral hospital, which brings together a significant number of students in clinical training. Drawing on participants’ testimonies, the research examines how power relations shaped by gender are constructed and reproduced within the hospital environment. It also explores the strategies and forms of social agency that interns and trainees develop in response to these dynamics, highlighting the mechanisms through which these forms of violence are sustained and, in some cases, resisted.
