Historia de la ganadería en El Valle de Cuxtepeques y La Concordia. Chiapas, siglos XVIII y XIX

Abstract

La presente tesis aborda la introducción de los ganados a suelos americanos en La Nueva España (México) y el Reino de Guatemala (Guatemala) en la época colonial y el siglo XIX. En el segundo capítulo se explica sobre la ganadería y diferentes variables de esa economía en El Valle de Cuxtepeques y sus haciendas durante el siglo XVIII Y XIX. En el tercer y último capítulo trata de la ganadería en La Concordia, junto con sus haciendas en el siglo XIX. En cada capítulo se hace referencia a la importancia que tenía la ganadería desde que los primeros siglos de su introducción, de la colonia hasta el periodo decimonónico, el auge/crecimiento y desarrollo gracias a los ganados que presentaron las diferentes haciendas del Valle y del pueblo de La Concordia, así como su distribución-venta en Guatemala y Centroamérica. This thesis deals with the introduction of cattle to American soils in New Spain (Mexico) and the Kingdom of Guatemala (Guatemala) in colonial times and the nineteenth century. The second chapter explains about cattle ranching and different variables of that economy in the Cuxtepeques Valley and its haciendas during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The third and final chapter deals with cattle ranching in La Concordia, along with its haciendas in the nineteenth century. In each chapter, reference is made to the importance of cattle ranching from the first centuries of its introduction, from the colony to the nineteenth century, the boom/growth and development thanks to the cattle presented by the different haciendas of the Valley and the town of La Concordia, as well as its distribution-sale in Guatemala and Central America.
