According to conducted studies, the main causal agents of the ear roth in Chiapas, are fungi of the genus Fusarium and Diplodia. In this work was evaluated in laboratory maize samples collected in various parts of the state of Chiapas, were isolated several strains of bacteria to find some growth inhibiting Diplodia, which could be used for future biological control, finding six of them with a clear inhibiting effect of the growth of Diplodia; in one second stage will be identify mechanism of inhibition and test of its effect in field.
