Inventario preliminar de la ictiofauna del Área de Protección de Recursos Naturales La Frailescana, Chiapas, sureste de México

Abstract

El Área de Protección de Recursos Naturales La Frailescana (APRNLF) forma parte de un importante corredor de vegetación en la Sierra Madre de Chiapas, sin embargo, no se conoce la ictiofauna local. Por ello se ha inventariado, de forma preliminar, la ictiofauna de la APRN La Frailescana. Los muestreos se realizaron empleando diversas artes de pesca en los principales ríos y tributarios del sistema hídrico. Se recolectaron 2, 209 peces, correspondientes a 17 especies, agrupadas en 13 géneros, 6 familias y 5 órdenes. La especie Poeciliopsis fasciata fue la más abundante (45.3% del total), seguida por Poeciliopsis pleurospilus (25.9%) y Poecilia sphenops (9.5%). Las familias con la mayor riqueza específica fueron Cichlidae (6 spp.) y Poeciliidae (5). El estado de conservación de dos especies endémicas, Chiapaheros grammodes y Vieja hartwegi, se encuentra en la categoría de amenazadas.

The Natural Resources Protection Area La Frailescana (APRNLF) is part of a vegetation corridor in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, however, the local ichthyofauna is not known. For this reason, the ichthyofauna of the APRN La Frailescana has been inventoried, in a preliminary way. The samples were collected using several types of fishing gears in the main rivers and tributaries of the water system. A total of 2,209 fish were collected, corresponding to 17 species, grouped into 13 genera, 6 families and 5 orders. The species Poeciliopsis fasciata was the most abundant (45.3% of the total), followed by Poeciliopsis pleurospilus (25.9%) and Poecilia sphenops (9.5%). The families with the most richness specifies were Cichlidae (6 spp.) and Poeciliidae (5). The state of conservation of two endemic species, Chiapaheros grammodes and Vieja hartwegi, is in the threatened category.
