Edad y crecimiento de cíclidos (Piscis) nativos de la Presa Malpaso, Chiapas, México

Abstract

Se estudió la edad y el crecimiento de las especies de cíclidos de la presa Malpaso, Chiapas, México. Se realizaron muestreos de septiembre 2014 – julio 2015, se consiguió un total de 288 ejemplares de la pesca comercial, de los cuales 162 pertenecieron a Petenia splendida, 43 a Cichlasoma pearsei, 80 a Paraneetroplus bifasciatus, y tres de Paraneetroplus hartwegi, en el caso de esta última se decidió no trabajarla por el escaso número de muestras. Los datos obtenidos para cada especie se analizaron con el programa estadístico STATA. La relación longitud-peso se estableció con base a la ecuación alométrica W= aLb presentando; P. splendida crecimiento alométrico positivo, C. pearsei crecimiento isométrico, P. bifasciatus crecimiento alométrico negativo. Las constantes de crecimiento fueron obtenidas mediante la función de crecimiento de Von Bertalanffy; los valores de las cons- tantes encontradas (intervalo de confianza del 95%) fueron: P. splendida = 53.78, = .230 y = 1.328; C. pearsei = 25.1099 cm, = 0.2269 y = -7.0355 cm; P. bifasciatus = 34.1801, = 0.11618 y = -5.4948 cm.

The age and growth of the cichlid species of the Malpaso dam, Chiapas, Mexico were studied. Samples were taken from September 2014 - July 2015, a total of 288 commercial fishing specimens were obtained, of which 162 belonged to Petenia splendida, 43 to Cichlasoma pearsei, 80 to Paraneetroplus bifasciatus, and three to Paraneetroplus hartwegi, in the case of the latter it was decided not to work because of the small number of samples. The data obtained for each species was analyzed with the statistical program STATA. The length-weight relationship was established based on the allometric equation W= aLb presenting; P. splendida positive allometric growth, C. pearsei isometric growth, P. bifasciatus negative allometric growth. The growth constants were obtained by the Von Bertalanffy growth function; the values of the constants found (95% confidence interval) were: P. splendida L∞= 53.78, k= .230 and t0= 1.328; C. pearsei L∞= 25.1099 cm, k= 0.2269 and t0= -7.0355 cm; P. bifasciatus L∞= 34.1801, k= 0.11618 and t0= -5.4948 cm.
