El método ARPA: Un enfoque basado en objetivos para el estudio del repertorio pianístico

Abstract

Para los estudiantes, el aprovechamiento de sus lecciones de piano depende, en gran medida, de su capacidad para preparar las obras de su repertorio asignado en poco tiempo, sin comprometer la calidad artística; sin embargo, la mayoría de ellos practica de forma desorganizada y no completa el estudio de sus obras de manera satisfactoria. El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar si un método de estudio de piano sistematizado puede ayudar a los alumnos a optimizar sus sesiones de estudio en el instrumento. Con tal fin, la pregunta de investigación es la siguiente: ¿cómo preparar cualquier obra del repertorio pianístico con un alto nivel artístico en el menor tiempo posible? Para responder a la cuestión se realiza un experimento en el que estudiantes de piano de nivel superior se dividen en dos grupos: en el primero, los alumnos estudian una obra de piano de la manera que ellos acostumbran; en el segundo, estudian la misma obra a través de un método de piano propuesto. Los resultados del experimento indican que el uso de un método de piano sistematizado impacta directa y positivamente en el nivel de compleción de sus obras de repertorio. Con base en lo anterior, se recomienda que los estudiantes de piano procuren utilizar un método de estudio como parte importante de su formación integral como futuros pianistas profesionales. Investigaciones adicionales podrían realizarse para estimar la trascendencia del uso del método de estudio propuesto durante el experimento en beneficio de otros instrumentistas. For students, taking advantage of their piano lessons depends, to a great extent, on their ability to prepare their assigned repertoire in a minimum amount of time, without compromising artistic quality; however, most of them practice in a disorganized manner and do not accomplish their pieces satisfactorily. The objective of this work is to determine if a systematized piano study method may help pupils to optimize their study sessions on the instrument. To this end, the research question is the following: how to prepare any musical piece of the piano repertoire with a high artistic level in the shortest possible time? To answer the question, an experiment is carried out in which undergraduate piano students are divided into two groups: in the first one, pupils study a piano work in the way they are used to; in the latter, they study the same work through a proposed piano method. The results of the experiment indicate that the use of a systematized piano method impacts directly and positively on the level of completion of their repertoire pieces. Based on the above, it is recommended that piano students seek to use a study method as an important part of their comprehensive training as future professional pianists. Additional research could be carried out to estimate the significance of using the proposed study method during the experiment for the benefit of other instrumentalists.
